Summertime is just around the corner and for many of us that entails leaving the regular every day life behind! However, just because you’re out of town doesn’t mean you and your honey should skip out on a have a little hotel room fun! It’s finally Summertime and for many of us, that means lots of traveling; fortunately, the girls at Blue Boutique are here to ensure your vacation is one you’ll never forget (without the fear of having your favorite vibrator or handcuffs getting pulled out in line at the airline security check)! Before you leave on your important business trip, family vacation or cruise with your lover, make sure you definitely stop in before to grab a few sexy pick me ups!

The first toy on our list is the VerSpanken. This is a male masturbator that isn’t like any other ever seen before. We believe it’s a perfect candidate for someone traveling that doesn’t want to pack something bulky and hard to fit in their suitcase.

The masturbator itself, has an open end with two interchangeable, foam-weiners OR water-weiners. The inserts (smooth, wavy and bumpy) allow for a complete new experience without having to buy a brand new toy! The water-weiners can be warmed up (via microwave, or a bowl of warm water) or chilled in the refrigerator. Definitely feel free to mix and match temperatures to keep things interesting.

These babies are easy to clean. Simply take the weiners out and rinse them off with soap and water and you’re all set. The VerSpanken snaps closed and keeps an awesome grip “so you don’t have to”. Because of this awesome feature lube is definitely required (any waterbase lube works great. Verspanken’s ability to disguise itself so perfectly and ability to fluctuate between a couples and singles toy makes it an awesome vacation buddy.

Now you’re probably asking isn’t there something that we can “share the pleasure” together? Our favorite wearable vibrator is the We-Vibe 3. The U-shaped vibrator is extremely flexible; one side is small enough to fit inside her (leaving enough space for him to enter underneath which then pushes it up to hit her g-spot) and the slightly larger side to caress and stimulate her clitoris. This nonporous toy is 100% medical grade silicone. It introduces a complete wireless remote control system, and is now 100% waterproof. We can’t forget to mention that it is completely rechargeable, and the charger doubles as a compact traveling case. The perfect couples’ toy is now the perfect traveling companion! It comes in three different colors: ruby, teal or purple, this body-safe and “eco-sexy” product is the only thing that really takes care of both of you no matter where you are. This toy is currently only available in-store.

Going to the beach for a vacation? Two words for you: Coochy Cream. If you’re looking to perfect your bikini area, you’re really going to need this rash-free shaving creme. I personally use it every time I shave. It is safe for all areas you shave, and gives you a really nice moisturized sheen afterward. It can also be used as conditioner, and is great on even the driest of hair. The boyfriend even uses it after he washes his beard as “beard conditioner”. Coochy makes it nice and soft. We have several different scents (though, my personal favorite is Make Me Blush), and we have a variety of sizes to fit everyone’s budget.

Many of my friends are going to EDM (electronic dance music, for the layman) festivals this summer. For this type of vacation I would highly recommend a really nifty toy called The OhMiBod Club Vibe 2.0H. While this is a mouthful to say, it will most certainly leave you speechless after using it. At first glance it looks like an average pair of vibrating panties with a remote. Upon further inspection, it has a really sleek look and is very discreet. It has a smooth design, made to contour your “lady parts” perfectly.

The panties that come with are actually cute (black lace thong, one size fits most), and the remote has a digital readout that makes it easy for you/your partner to tell what mode the toy is in. This toy is fantastic for couples use. It boasts a 20 foot range on the remote, and is lightweight to fit comfortably in your hand or pocket.

It has a small mic on the remote that picks up the beat of the music. If you switch your club vibe to “club mode”, it will vibrate with pulsations that match the beat of whatever song you are listening to.

A great idea for any single men going on vacation would be The Fleshlight Sex in a Can. (male masturbator) One of the most discreet toys we sell, it looks just like a tall can of beer. So discreet, you can leave it out on the hotel bedside table and not have to worry about the maid being nosey. Sneaky, sneaky… It’s the number one selling male sex toy, phthalate free and has a very realistic feel. Each sleeve has a different pattern inside, so pick your favorite can, and throw it in the overnight bag.

My final recommendation is the Wanachi Mini, Mini, Mini. Yeah, 3 mini’s. It makes sense when you see all the sizes this little toy comes in. This one in particular is the epitome of “travel sized” sex toys. It will fit in any sunglasses case, small purse, pocket or car console. For 20 dollars, it packs quite the punch. Think of it as a “lunch break Hitachi”.

The size of the toy makes it perfect for taking with you on your vacation or any outing, really. It’s vibrations are powerful, and the price is right. Kind of a win, win situation, if you ask me.

From innovative to old school, we have what you’re looking for in a toy you can travel with. These were only the most obvious suggestions, and we have many, many more things to choose from. Come see us and ask questions, we can help you find the perfect toy to take on your summer vacation.

Science of Relationships has a informational post on how easy it is to predict breakups and danger zones for couples in a relationship. According to the data, Summertime is one of the danger zones where couples break off their relationships and pursuit other loves of their lives.

Are you a man that has trouble communicating your wants and needs to your partner? Never fear, the artofmanliness.com has posted a great blog on how to communicate your wants and needs to your partner. The article give you some sound advice on how to avoid traps of passiveness or aggressiveness and help you traverse the healthy middle path of assertiveness.

If you have ever considered having an open relationship with the love of your life, you should take a moment to ready Monica Heisey’s article aptly titled, “Shut the hell up about my open relationship”. You’ll find advice on what to say to people when they ask questions about your multiple partner relationship. If you’re considering, you might want to make sure that you follow the unscientific “Age Equation“. It’s a mathematical model for preferred age discrepancy.

A recent book asserts that contrary to long-standing religious/cultural beliefs that women want stability and emotional intimacy, long-term monogamy actually saps women’s sex drives as much as it sap’s men’s sex drive. It makes a very strong case that women are socially & culturally, not biologically, discouraged from initiating and enjoying sex. The funny thing is that is baffling scientists is that a recent survey indicates that 30 percent of Internet pornography consumers users are women. This has been a real problem as it’s been thought that women preferred relationship-based romance novels to visual erotica.

Those women & ment that are in longterm relationships will identify with 20 excuses that men/women use to get out of having sex. While the article is interesting, I would like to know, why would you want to do that? If you are in one of those long-term relationships, the staff at Blue Boutique would like you to remember that you can revive a relationship by having a healthy dose of sexual fantasy. You can benefit from a little spice in your relationship.

After a plethora of news articles about Michael Douglass getting oral cancer because he wasn’t vaccinated against HPV, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the American College of Pediatrics now recommend that both girls and boys be vaccinated against HPV. Religious objections aside, it is another way that you can help prevent certain types of cancer in our next generation.

If you’re interested in working for BLue Boutique, i would suggest that you take the time to fill out Blue Boutique’s Online job application or take the time to send your resume to Adina in the downtown Salt Lake City store.

The skin is delicate and sensitive with lots of nooks, crannies and folds to be aware of! Luckily, I’m here to help. Whether you just want to trim it up, cut it into crazy shapes or make it disappear altogether, I’m bringing you my well-tested tips, tricks and techniques to help you master the perfect coif for your cooch!

There are four main methods for removing unwanted hair – shaving, waxing, depilatory creams, and laser. All four are proven techniques, so it really just depends on which one suits your lifestyle, budget, pain tolerance and styling preference. Let me explain…

SHAVING

Shaving is probably the most familiar technique of the four. The tool needed (a razor), is pretty inexpensive, easy to come by and most of us have wielded one at least once in our lives. I definitely recommend spending a few extra dollars on a nicer razor, preferably one that has two or more blades. But, the real trick to this method is making sure you have a great shaving cream. There are many options on the market, but the one I recommend is something we carry here at Blue Boutique called Coochy Cream. It’s a moisturizing, lotion-like product that reduces the occurrence of those horrible red bumps and nasty ingrown hairs. Everyone I know that tries it now swears by it! It comes in a variety of scents, so it’s perfect for either sex. If you are especially sensitive down there, Coochy also makes an aftershave spray that it awesome.

When it comes to the actual shave, I suggest shaving your hair in the same direction it grows to avoid irritation and that unsightly, bumpy rash. Now, some less-sensitive people can shave against the hair growth and this will definitely give you a closer shave, but I’d only try this if no one is going to be examining your work for a few days.

As for how much to take off that’s really up to you and the person you’re showing it off to. While going completely bare has become very popular, there are still a lot of people that don’t necessarily want their front side to to look like a baby’s backside. If you are going to leave hair, you can keep it natural looking by following the existing lines, but just bring the edges in a bit and thin the bushiness.

Taking it down to a small triangle, landing strip or other creative shape is also a very popular option. If your feeling confident, go ahead and freestyle whatever design you’d like, but if you’re less artistically inclined (like myself), you can pick up a stencil to help you out. Also, when it comes down to those especially sensitive areas (like near the vaginal opening or scrotum), I suggest using a fairly fresh razor and pulling your skin as taut as possible to avoid nicking yourself.

WAXING

Waxing is a very popular form of hair removal, especially for the bikini area. You can have it done at most spas and salons, or you can opt to do it yourself. While I have done it myself, and it is certainly a cheaper option, I want to warn you that it is fairly painful and may not be for everyone. I would suggest having it done by a professional at least a few times before you attempt it on your own.

When you have it done professionally you’ll need to let them know what you are looking for. You can have them wax it into different shapes (to what extent will depend on the salon), or you can have them remove it all. It you ask for a bare bikini wax they will remove all hair on the pubic mound, but leave the area around your anus and “taint” alone.

If you want this hair removed as well, that is referred to as a brazilian wax and you’ll want to make sure they offer this service when making your appointment. Waxing has a lot of upsides – you’ll feel super smooth down there, there’s less chance of a rash or ingrown hairs than shaving, it lasts a long time and it actually decreases hair growth over time. Like everything though, this method has its negatives too. It is a bit more painful and you do have to wait for it to grow out a bit (between 1/8 and ¼ inch). So, it’s really up to you (and your pain tolerance!) if you want to give this method a try, but most people that do really end up liking the results.

DEPILATORY CREAMS

These creams work by breaking down the hair with chemicals so that you can remove it by wiping it off. They are fairly effective and easy to use, but there are a few downsides and precautions you should take. First of all, these creams can be quite smelly. If you’ve ever used one I’m sure that smell still lingers somewhere in your mind. The bigger issue though (at least in my opinion) is the limited range of use for these. The are really only recommended for the “bikini line” which basically means if your underwear cover it you probably don’t want to use one of these creams on it. It’s a good method for people that just want to make sure no one at the pool is going to get any eyeful of pubes, but if you’re looking to take some real hair off you may want to try another method.

LASER HAIR REMOVAL

This is the only permanent method of hair removal, which is one reason it’s continually gaining popularity. It is a fairly simple procedure, but usually takes an average of 3 to 5 sessions to permanently remove all the hair. Again, it’s up to you to decide how much you want to remove. They can just do the bikini line (about an inch or so inside your panty/bikini line and inner thigh), go a bit further and just leave a little strip, clear your entire labia, or take it to the extreme with a brazilian style treatment. Laser removal can be a little painful and may leave you with a sunburn-type effect for a few days. Your doctor will give you tips on how to deal with this. They generally like to wait several weeks in between treatments for your skin to heal and any remaining hair to grow again. Cost is also a factor to consider with laser hair removal, as it can be a bit expensive up front. But for many people it’s worth the investment if it means you’ll never have to shave or wax another day in your life!

So it makes no difference which method appeals to you, I just hope I’ve provided you with the information and inspiration to take the plunge and do a little landscaping in your own “private garden!”

While I applaud the board for taking sexual assault seriously, their diagnosis of the problem indicated that a sex-negative perspective might be clouding their understanding of the real causes of sexual assault.

The board chose to focus on sexual assault committed by and against young people.

According to the 2011 Crime in Utah report, the demographic most often arrested for sex assault are males ages 10 to 17. Also a recent state Rape in Utah report notes that 78 percent of female rape victims were minors when assaulted. Also, forced sex between males under 18 in Utah is higher than the U.S. average.

The focus on young men makes sense. Research I’ve seen which says that a quarter of registered sex offenders are juveniles. But do young men commit sexual assault for different reasons than adult men? The board blames pornography and hooking up for the prevalence of sexual assault.

Some of the reasons that sexual assault among the young is prevalent include exposure to pornography and hooking up, which is made easier through social media and other technology.

There are no good studies showing that porn causes men or boys to commit sexual assault. None even show that it is correlated with a rise in violence. There are numerous studies showing that rising porn usage correlates with fewer incidences of sexual violence. In fact, when child pornography was legal in Denmark, Japan and the Czech Republic the incidence of child sex abuse decreased significantly.

As for blaming the so-called “hook-up culture” for sexual violence, this seems to confuse casual, consensual sex for rape. How would hooking up lead to rape? Similarly, how would consigning sex to long-term committed relationship decrease sexual violence? It’s hard to see how this idea doesn’t lead to victim-blaming. Many women have to answer probing questions about their sexual histories when they press charges against their rapists. This disincentivizes coming forward. And it’s totally useless and irrelevant. There are plenty of reasons to not want to hook up, and to recommend others do the same. But preventing sexual violence is not one of them.

However, the Board definitely gets it right when they point the finger at a culture of denial around sexual assault.

Another key reason, though, is not observing — or ignoring — signs of these crimes and being in denial when a sexual assault occurs. If we have suspicions that someone has been sexually assaulted and we don’t report our suspicions, we are enablers of these evil deeds.

From Steubenville to Canada, we see instances of rape being swept under the rug and ignored by parents, teachers, coaches and authorities. And when the crimes are reported to police, victims have to walk through invasive swabbing and extensive questioning only to have their rape kits expire, untested, while their rapists walk free. Police departments claim they don’t have the manpower to test the kits or arrest the suspects, but it’s clearly a matter of priorities. One Utah police department had enough time to bring 114 (so far) fraudulent drug cases.

Blaming porn or hooking up for rape can’t be supported by the evidence. It reinforces sex-negative attitudes and victim-blaming and distracts from the systemic problems with how we deal with rape as a culture.

Last week Nerve reported on the new female desire pill that will be available in 2016 called Lybrido and how it will change our society. Lybrido will revolutionize sex and sexuality much like the pill did in the 1960’s. We imagine that the definition of relationships is going to change greatly over the next 20 years.

The state with a preponderance of corrupt politicians has finally got it right for once. The Illinois Senate has finally pass and update to their sex education. Big surprise here, they’re going to (gasp…) teach sex education classes using birth control as part of a comprehensive sex education bill. I think that we need to get angry here in Utah and get this passed next year when the politicians that don’t represent you get together on the hill.

Alternet this last week has an interesting article on 10 common myths about sex and sexuality that we probably get wrong. They debunk 10 sex myths that many people believe, but is totally wrong. This includes the fact that women’s desire decreases with age. At Blue Boutique, we know that this is not the case.

Bigthink.com has an interesting article about monogamy and non-monogamy and why people think that only monogamous relationships can exists successfully. Whether you are monogamous or non non-monogamous, your relationships can succeed if there is a strong bond of trust between partners.

The Salt Lake Tribune reported on the antics of Salt Lake County. Instead of providing equal rights & equal protect to homosexual couples, they’re in the process of creating more government bureaucracy by “voting 7-0 Tuesday to give preliminary approval to an ordinance instructing the county clerk to set up a “registry for adult relationships of financial dependence or interdependence.“

An finally in a move to make Utah look normal with their collective views, West Virginia is looking to slut shame their female teenage population with a new “Sexting” law that does nothing but victim blame women for their behavior.

If you have ever been pierced at Blue Boutique, Your piercing has been done under clean, sterile, professional conditions. Now it’s up to you to properly take care of the piercing. The chances of infection are minimal with proper aftercare.

How Will You Know If Your Piercing Is Infected Or Irritated?

Slight redness or mild bruising is normal for the first few days of a piercing. There may be a dry build-up or slight discharge. This discharge is a natural substance that your body secretes during the healing process. Do not mistake the dry buildup or slight discharge for pus which appears as a thick, dark green discharge. While infections can only be diagnosed by a physician it is important to know that many common piercing related irritations are often mistaken for infections. Most irritations can be fixed quite easily by simply changing your aftercare routine or jewelry.

One of the most common irritations with a new body piercing comes from the contact with chemicals. Never use any harsh chemicals or ointments on your piercing such as; Listerine, Hibiclens, Betadine, iodine, rubbing alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, Bacitracin, Neosporin, Bactine, ear care solution or Epsom salts. These chemicals & products will greatly impede the healing process.

It is usually the best practice to remove jewelry you suspect may be severely irritated or infected. If you think the problem is serious, do not hesitate to visit a knowledgeable piercer or visit your personal care physician.

How will you know if your piercing is rejecting?

All piercings can reject, though some have a higher tendency to do so. There is usually little or no pain associated with rejection. The signs to watch for are enlargement of the openings of the piercing, along with some scar-like redness, discharge of a clear fluid, itching, and rash. Not all bodies will accept the piercing you have selected.

Sometimes trying a different type of material will help improve the retention of the piercing. Cheap jewelry can easily cause an allergic reaction leading to rejection or irritation. Most rejections are caused by poor aftercare procedures. Should your piercing show signs of rejection get in touch with your piercer as soon as possible. Jewelry may need to be removed to prevent excessive scarring.

How can you help your piercing heal?

You can do lots of things to help your piercing heal quickly and easily. Do not play with your piercing or touch it with dirty hands, eat a nutritious diet, a zinc supplement or multi-vitamin may help also. Clean your piercing on a regular schedule and stick to it. Following the aftercare suggestions provided to your professional body piercer. We have found that for most piercings sea salt solution is usually the best aftercare product to use. Sea salt solutions does not irritate skin like most chemicals. There are mixing instructions for sea salt solution on the end of this blog. Remember that improper cleaning can lead to several problems such as irritation, soreness, scarring, rejection, and prolonged healing.

It is always important to make sure you start your aftercare procedure by washing your hands. Your hands come in more contact with germs and bacteria than any other part of you body, so it is important that you don’t transfer those germs to your new piercing. Healing time is different for everyone, and every piercing. Some piercings may heal very fast; tongues for instance can heal very quickly, sometimes in as little as 4 weeks. While navels and cartilage can take longer amounts of time to heal completely, sometimes upto 6 months or more. It is important to leave jewelry in a new piercing during the initial healing period, although you may think it is healed it may still take several weeks or months for the piercing to heal. As a general guideline if your piercing is sore, red, or otherwise irritated it is probably not ready to be changed. If you have any questions about changing or removing jewelry feel free to call or stop by Blue Boutique.

Dangers of open water.

I have found that most problems/irritations occur under the following conditions: Handling or touching the piercing with unclean hands, being too rough with it or moving it excessively, improper cleaning, swimming in any unclean or chlorinated water. Swimming strongly discourage for the first month after you have been pierced. This includes ponds, lakes, oceans, pools, and hot tubs. Often these wet environments are filled with bacteria and can quickly lead to infections even if cleaned immediately after contact.

Even though being in open water is highly discourage, there are some ways to mitigate infections. Any surface anchors/surface piercings should be covered with a 3M Nexcare Tegaderm waterproof transparent dressing or active waterproof skin cover. These products are found in at the first aid aisle in most drug stores. When put on correctly these products allow you to get into open water without letting the dirty water to make contact with the piercings.

How To Clean A Piercing: Facial, Ear, Navel, Surface, Genital, etc.

With a body piercing less is more. You don’t want to overload the healing process with unnecessary chemicals or agitation. Saline spray Solution (H2Ocean, wound wash saline) is usually the best aftercare product to use for any piercing as it is non-irritating and easy to do yourself. You can also use a sea salt soak solution (mixing instructions on bottom of blog)

Simply mix your solution in a sterile, clean cup for a soak. for the harder places to soak such as ears, and nose, apply to a sterile single-use gauze pad and gently dab your piercing enough to moisten the area. You can gently clean away excess dried build-up or discharge. Use caution to not over-agitate a piercing. I typically suggest to remove the dried build-up by taking a shower and let the water rinse it off. Once completed leave the solution on the skin to air dry, you do not need to wipe it away.

Turning or moving jewelry is not required and will often damage or irritate your piercing. Clean your piercing this way 2-3 times a day. During the first few weeks clean your piercing during midday if it feels itchy or irritated. Sea Salt Solution also helps to soothe irritated or sore piercings. You can also try using a warm compress by using a dry soft heat, such as a heating pad or hot water bottle, it will boost the circulation to the area allowing your body to heal faster.

You can use an ice pack if you catch, bump, or otherwise hurt your piercing, use an ice pack to reduce tenderness and swelling. The blue gel ice packs from any drugstore works great. Just remember to put something clean and disposable between your piercing and the pack.

Mild soaps (Dr. Bronners baby mild soap) can also be used if the piercing is sore or irritated but soaps often over-dry a piercing and are rarely beneficial. Use caution when changing your clothes so you don’t catch or snag any jewelry. Also avoid chemicals which may irritate a piercing, makeup and facial wash on facial piercings, shampoo with ear piercings, etc. Try to avoid overly tight clothes that may rub against piercings such as a navel, nipple, or surface piercing. Also keep in mind that with a genital piercing it is crucial to limit sexual contact and use barriers (condoms, etc.) for at least the first 8-12 weeks to prevent infection.

How To Clean An Oral Piercing: Tongue, Lip, Labret, Monroe, etc.

For an oral piercing such as a tongue or lip make sure to avoid harsh alcohol based mouthwashes such as Listerine or Scope. Also avoid peroxide based mouthwashes such as Gly-Oxide. They cause many problems including irritation and prolonged healing. You will want to use a gentle antibacterial non-alcohol mouthwash such as Biotene, non-alcohol Scope or non-alcohol Listerine. These are available at most pharmacies and grocery stores.

At Blue Boutique, we sell a H2Ocean mouthwash that works great. Product availability may vary, but any antibacterial non-alcohol mouthwash should be adequate for most oral piercings. Rinse your mouth 3-5 times a day during the first few weeks, or as needed. Make sure to rinse for a full 30 seconds for maximum efficiency and germ reduction. Rinsing after meals is suggested. I typically suggest to customers to carry around a nice cold bottle of water to rinse with. Cold water is going to help to reduce the swelling of the piercing. Do not rinse your mouth too frequently or excessively. For any Lip piercing rinse your mouth as instructed above, and also clean the outside of your lip with sea salt solution as outlined in the above section.

The area of any oral piercing will swell. It is for this reason that you want to be gentle eating for the first few days to avoid biting your jewelry or catching it on your teeth. Also avoid any irritants such as excessively salty or spicy foods, alcohol, smoking, or any tobacco products. If the swelling gets annoying you can chew on crushed up ice to reduce swelling, but proper aftercare is the best way to avoid swelling in the first place. You may want to consider changing oral piercing jewelry once the initial healing period is up (4-6 weeks) to a slightly shorter piece to lessen potential gum and tooth damage. It is crucial not to engage in oral contact of any kind with any unhealed piercing, this means no deep kissing or oral sex with a new piercing for at least the first 4-6 weeks!

Special note on increasing jewelry size (stretching your piercing): It is crucial to wait until your piercing is fully healed before you increase jewelry thickness so as not to cause healing problems or scarring. Once healed a piercing should never be stretched more than one gauge size per every six (6) weeks. Stretching too fast can easily lead to severe scarring. If you have any questions about stretching a piercing consult your body piercer.

Below I’ve listed the names and brief descriptions for the aftercare products mentioned in this form, I have also listed some alternatives (with their possible drawbacks) in the event that you cannot locate your primary aftercare products. Consult your piercer or a piercing knowledgeable doctor if you have any problems with your aftercare products. We have found that for most piercings, the sea salt solution is usually best. Remember, improper cleaning can slow healing time by several weeks and possibly lead to scarring, rejection, or other problems.

Prefered Soaps

fragrance-free Satin (preferred soap) / Dr. Bronners baby soap (or any other fragrance-free hypoallergenic tear-free soap baby soap), very effective at fighting bacteria while being very gentle on the skin. Dial / Softsoap- mild antibacterial soaps with the active ingredient triclosan can be over-drying and irritating to some. If you choose to use this product try a sensitive skin version without dyes or perfumes. Dr. Bronner’s castile soap- a great alternative soap for people with sensitive skin, it does however have very little natural antibacterial effect.

Prefered Topical Cleansers

Sea Salt Solution (preferred aftercare)- very gentle on the skin but also highly effective for aftercare. H2Ocean- a pre-mixed, sterile sea salt water spray with added antibiotic enzymes, very convenient and easy to use, often speeds healing and helps eliminate most simple irritations.

Prefered Mouthwashes

Biotene, H2Ocean, Oral-B Rembrandt Dazzling Fresh- non-alcohol mouthwashes, highly effective at reducing bacteria while also being very gentle on oral tissue. Sea Salt Solution- sea salt solution can also be used as a mouth rinse, mix your own or use a pre-mixed sea salt rinse such as H2Ocean oral piercing care.

H2Ocean is a great product for most body piercings, it is a sterile sea salt spray with added natural antibiotics. It’s very easy to use since it’s pre-mixed and comes in a spray canister. If you choose to use H2ocean as your aftercare product simply spray it onto the piercing a few times a day, you don’t even need to touch it. H2Ocean is available here at Blue Boutique.

Mixing Instructions For Sea Salt Solution:

Dissolve 1/4 a teaspoon of sea salt in eight ounces of warm distilled water. Use daily to clean your piercing. You can use sea salt water as a soak or compress to help heal irritated piercings. Make sure you do not use the sea salt too frequently or use too strong a mixture as this can easily over-dry your skin. Use only pure sea salt with no additives (no table salt, no Epsom salt), which is available at supermarkets and health food stores.

Reduce Swelling

Taking a mild non-aspirin, non-steroidal pain medication (Tylenol, Advil, Motrin, etc.) to reduce pain or swelling is at your discretion. Such as (Arnica Montana) in pill form may help to prevent or reduce swelling. Don’t use (Arnica gel or cream). If you do choose to use a pain medication consult a doctor or pharmacist for recommendations and follow package instructions.

Finally remember the following information: The more you touch your piercing more you irritate your piercing which inturn means it may take longer to heal and more prone to a infection and or other problems. If you don’t feel comfortable putting product in your eyes, it shouldn’t be put on a new piercing such as harsh soaps with fragrances, alcohol, peroxide, lotions, tanning oils etc.

People who are unhappy in their romantic relationship spend more time during a disagreement thinking about how angry and frustrated they are, but happy couples coordinate their thoughts so that when one partner has many emotional thoughts, the other has few, according to a new study recently published online in the National Communication Association’s journal, Communication Monographs. Couples’ thoughts during disagreements affect relationship satisfaction.

A new study was release this week looking at the details of why men visit prostitutes. Men’s Sexual Activities With Female Prostitutes (Infographic).

Salon published an article entitled “My Virginity Mistake,” author Jessica Ciencin Henriquez talks about how the antiquated abstinence pledge ruined her marriage. Dr. Justin Lehmiller talks about people whom are saving themself”don’t necessity make their marriages last longer; rather, it may just be that people who are abstinent until marriage are less likely to feel that divorce is an option because of their religious background. How Important Is It To Have Sex Before Marriage?

I seriously hate shopping because its always- grab a bunch of stuff in your size, try it on and it doesn’t fit properly. Love handles, saddle bags, low riders, cleavage spillin’ out everywhere. Like being a girl isn’t frustrating enough sometimes. But not anymore!! This Rhonda Shear Shapewear we carry is officially a must have in our closets. Not only is it aiding us in looking and feeling fantastic but it’s kind of romantic and inspiring to know that the lingerie you put on has a love story behind it.

This lingerie was started by none other than Rhonda Honey Shear and husband Van Fagan in 2001 and has reached and helped comfort and shape the lives and bodies of over 25 million worldwide. Shortly after her marriage with Van Fagan, the couple started SHEAR ENTERPRISES LLC. Rhonda is from New Orleans and has stated that she has curves, loves food and is not willing to give that up! Rhonda, as well as I, and I am sure plenty of you, know that it is always nice to fit into that outfit instead of making it work. Miss Rhonda decided she needed a quick and painless way to shed a few extra pounds and her darling husband, wanting to work side by side with his new bride, they started the Shear Shapewear line. How sweet, right? SHEAR designs beautiful foundations for all body types.” “I want all women to feel and look their best at a moment’s notice. You can “Slip into Slim” with my “Secret Slender”. I know what women go through everyday to try to zip up that favorite skirt”.

Rhonda has had the chance to meet with women struggling in treatments and surgeries who were in need of comfortable, affordable, feminine bras. (which let’s be honest, is not something you find easily.) But when you are sick or recovering every little thing helps. The stories, strength, and sense of community from the different people she met struck her and she started to help AS FAR AS HER SHAPEWEAR WOULD TAKE HER. Rhonda has stayed connected to these women by donating product every month to women shelter’s around the country and continuing worldwide to various charitable organizations that fund research and empower women… Comfy, romantic, inspiring. All from a little lingere to make you feel secure and comfy. I know its not much but get in here so we can show you what you have been missing! So many of the girls (including me) have tried the shapewear and love the way it makes us feel! Now, we want to hear it from you!

Now in-stock at all Blue Boutique Locations.
